Meet our Rocka Team
Rocka Builders is a partnership between Don and Melanie Kain, a father-daughter real estate developer and agent duo, and Arnold Rodriguez, General Contractor. Our partnership grew out of a remodel project in the Glassell Park neighborhood, and the recognition that complementary skills, teamwork and attention to detail are the best way to ensure a great finished product.
Don Kain
Partner
Don grew up in the San Fernando Valley in the 1950s, and his appreciation for Los Angeles’ expansion and evolution has never waivered. He has built homes since the 1980s, from custom homes in the San Fernando Valley to remodels in Northeast Los Angeles. He has owned and operated building material companies, and continues to consult for design companies.
Arnold Rodriguez
Partner
Arnold started his construction career at a large new-home development company, and earned his General Contractor license in 2007. He built up his own business over 10 years through positive referrals from private clients and development companies. He brings a core group of dedicated employees and strong network of vendors to Rocka Builders.
Melanie Kain
Partner
Melanie joined Rocka Builders after 10 years of owning and operating an apparel manufacturing business. The thruline has been working with a team during production, and her specialty is overseeing the finish work. She believes that thoughtful details for modern living is paramount. Melanie holds her real estate license with PLG Estates.
